Brad Paisley Concert

Hello MOM Members and Friends,

How have you all been?  I have been busy making more crafts for you all to view and make.  Also we went to the best concert in the world last night!!  A Brad Paisley Concert he also happens to be a relative of ours but we would love him even if he wasn't.  He is so wonderful and caring and absolutely loves performing!  You will never find a more committed and talented artist as far as I am concerned.  I have met many of them in my years in the music business and he is the best all around... 

My son was so excited because he got to meet one of his Idols last night, American Idol winner... Scotty McCreery..  Here is a picture...  He was so nice and posed for a picture with him..

Ty also loves Nascar and got to meet Elliott Sadler who drives for Nascar...  Here is a picture of them..
We had such a wonderful time as we always do with Brad and Doug (his dad)..  We love them so much ...  We are exhausted today because we all had to get up early but believe it is well worth it.

Holiday Crafts

Hello Members of Motherhood,

Today is a sad day for me.  I found out that another family member has cancer.  Not good.  This disease has been all over my family in many generations including my husband and I.  It is a scary disease and I will pray that someday there will be no more cancer!!  So please everyone pray for her..

What have you all been up too?

Hello MOM Members,

I haven't written in a few days.  I had some computer problems which are now all fixed up.  How has everyone been?  What have you all been up too? 
I have been working and keeping busy.  For those of you who don't know, our son loves acting and has been in 3 movies so far.  One big one with famous Hollywood people in it.  It finally came out in limited theaters.  But it is on pay per view.  Anyway, we have a producer friend whom we met on the set of that movie.  She loved our son and said she wanted to do a TV show with him as a host.  This was when he was 3 yrs old.  Well now he is 5 and a half and guess what?  We are finally going ahead with the TV show.  We film the first 2 episodes October 8th.  He is so excited and so are we.  We have 3 TV channels interested in the show and if all goes well one will pick it up and he will have a regular show.  Our producer friend wants to put it on YouTube even if they don't pick it up,  but she is confident that it will get picked up.
We are all so excited but trying to not get our hopes up.  It all depends on how well my son performs.  Really all he has to do is be himself!!  I will keep all of you posted about this adventure.

Kids Growing Up

Hello Fellow MOMers,

Our son lost his first tooth the other night and was so excited!!  He wanted to call everyone.  My husband made a video of it and of course my son made me take a picture of him without his tooth.  He was so excited about the TOOTH FAIRY GIVING HIM MONEY!  He said his friends told him that she brings a dollar!!!  I said that I didn't think so. 

Well he woke up the next morning and the tooth was gone.  He was so upset!  He said the tooth fairy took my tooth and didn't give me a dollar!  Mama how can she do that?  I knew the tooth fairy had visited him, so I told him to make sure and check under his pillow..  He did and well ahh..  He found 4 quarters in a baggie..  He was so excited and ran around the house yelling "I'm Rich"!  I couldn't stop laughing at him.  He said, "I can't wait until the rest of my teeth come out!!"  Ha ha  Sometimes he makes me laugh.. 

Sunday Morning

Hello MOM Friends,

Well today is Sunday.  My husband is at church helping to set up and will be home to pick me up between 9 and 9:30 for our 10:30 church service.  I love church!  I feel great when I go and I feel like I can really help people.  We are very involved in our church.  My hubby plays for their church softball team.  We have volunteered and worked for the church yard sale.  We donated tickets for our cousin in law's concert for the church to auction off to raise money for their mission trips.  We are donating lemonade for an upcoming barbecue.  And I am helping to start a community kids project.  We LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT!!  We have met wonderful people and we can't wait to become official members of our church.Does anyone else love their church as we do?  What do you do for or with your church?

What are your favorite can't live without items?

Hello Fellow Members of Motherhood,

It is Friday.  I had to work this morning at my very part time job.  Then came home for lunch with my wonderful hubby.  Now I am talking to you all.  Then we are about to paint our living room 2 new colors.  Then we will paint all the trim again.  It's amazing how beat up a house gets in 10 yrs.  Ha ha
Our son has Hip Hop and Dance lessons after school today so we have to pick him up from school as soon as he is done..
Today I want to first ask a question:
What are your favorite...can't live without... parenting or not... items??
How do you entertain your kids without YOU having to entertain them?  How do you keep them from fighting with each other and play nice?  Anything that is a "go to" item? Treat? Bribe?  Ha ha

A Lazy Day

Hello Fellow Members of Motherhood,

Well today has been more of a lazy day.  I got up late but just in time to see my son off.  Hubby took him to the bus stop up the street.  I did clean window treatments today which is on my list of 17 items to do while my son is at school.  Unfortunately it wasn't one of the fun things like scrap booking, learning guitar, or crochet and knitting. 
But I have clean window treatments.. ha ha  Oh I did do wash too.  I also walked/light jogged on the treadmill while doing walking lunges off and on.  Yeah. 
Well I'm off to pick up my son from the bus stop now.
